We exist to make edge infrastructure boring.
Boring in the best possible way — reliable, predictable, invisible. So your team can focus on building products, not managing network topology.
Built by engineers who felt the pain first.
Axon was founded in 2019 by Maya Osei, James Kowalski, and Priya Rajan — three engineers who had spent years scaling infrastructure at companies like Stripe, Cloudflare, and HashiCorp.
The insight was simple but stubborn: every time a team grew beyond a certain scale, they hit the same wall. CDNs were too opaque. Cloud networking was too complex. And the tooling to observe and control traffic in real time was either missing entirely or scattered across five different products.
We set out to build the platform we wish we'd had — one that combines edge routing, API gateway, and full-stack observability into a single coherent system, managed with the same developer workflows teams already use for their application code.
Today, Axon Fabric handles over 180 billion requests per month across 2,400+ customer deployments. We're a team of 78 engineers, SREs, and network operators — and we're just getting started.
What we believe.
Radical transparency
We publish our incident post-mortems. Our status page shows everything. We never hide bad news — internally or externally.
Engineer-first
Every product decision starts with: "how does this feel to the engineer using it?" API quality is a product feature, not an afterthought.
Long-term thinking
We build infrastructure. That means 10-year time horizons, backward compatibility as a commitment, and no shortcuts on reliability.
